I also want to send out huge props to two Team Iron Sport athletes for outstanding performances this past Saturday.
Our resident strongwoman and Iron Sport employee Maya Winters took the title of NASS strongman middleweight national champion. Nobody in the gym trains as fiercely as Maya, not only did she train hard for this title but she did it while losing a substantial amount of weight to get into the middleweight category. All the guys and gals here are so damn proud of you Maya you have no idea.
Big Tone Barbaccio (pictured here) strolled into the RPS Rumble in Sewell NJ Saturday after a four year layoff from three lift meets and casually hit 835/805/775 for a 2415 total. A great return to the platform for big Tone and we hope to see him push those numbers up even further in the future.
And I want to congratulate Jugghead Chad Smith for winning the NASS heavyweight title and earning his pro card. Chad has a bright future ahead of him and I expect to see him qualify for the World’s Strongest Man contest in the next couple of years.
