Good session. I wanted to beat last week's number of 515x3. It's nice not having a set plan on the ME exercise each week. Just getting in to train and deciding that day has been fun. There was no hesitation in the lift at the top. I have been grinding to to the top and holding it for a pause there.
The close grip was brutal. I am not used to having my hands that close. I almost got myself killed. I was doing 4's, but I knew I had one left in me, so I kept going on my last set. Well, the boards got pulled away and I went anyway. They got pushed back in and I think someone tried to grab a side, but I kept plowing through like nothing happened. It was all my fault, but I just wanted to keep going. I don't want to let reps dictate my work. I want my work capacity to do that.
Pounded through all the assistance quickly with good tempo. Felt sufficiently beat up and got out of there quickly. Parents were spending the night because they were out of power.
