Celtic happenings and monday training
I had a blast this weekend at the 25th Celtic Classic in Bethlehem PA. We had lots of great throwing action on the field and even more laughs off of the field. Dan McKim from Kansas City, MO won the U.S. National title once again for the third straight year holding off the young phenom Matt Vincent. Matt was on fire all weekend and looked unbeatable only to falter in the final event and let the title slip through his fingers. I work as the athletic director of the festival as well as the on-field announcer and I’m so proud to be part of a great event like this. The travel channel was there to feature the Celtic Classic on a show they produce about festivals around America. I even got to do a few comedy bits on camera with the host of the show. They wanted me to kind of act like a dick and basically insult this skinny, geeky looking guy and were surprised how good I was at it. Little do they know, I wasn’t even acting, that’s what I do all day at the gym. Hopefully some of you will catch this on TV in the near future and say “Hey, I know that dick, that’s Stevey P”.

I had kind of a rough training day today. I felt wiped out and dehydrated from the lack of sleep I got staying in a hotel and eating too much shitty food all weekend. I tried to train while fending off nausea and shitting myself but it was tough. I just about got through this short chest and triceps pump:
Narrow grip bench:
Worked up to 6 heavy doubles with 120lbs in chain on the bar.
Dropped the bar to 70%, kept the chains on and did 12, 12, 13 reps
Dumbbell flyes: 4 sets of 12
Rolling dumbbell extensions: 4 sets of 8
Triceps push-ups: 4 sets of 15
