Thursday Shoulders and Bis

With my shoulder all nice and full of life giving cortisone I ventured back into the world of overhead pressing today. I would say it went ok, just a bit of pain on my heaviest sets but nothing too bad. But honestly I don’t even know why I bother trying to build muscle anymore since most of the protein I eat gets turned into toe nails, neck mushrooms and ear hair.

Military press:
40kgs x 8
50 x 6
60x 5
70 x 3
80 x 1
90 x 3 x 3 (slight push-press on each rep)
70 x 5 x 3

Superset upright rows/dumbbell side raises:
4 sets x 12/12

Superset rear delt raises/ dumbbell rear delt v raise:
4 sets x 12/12

Preacher machine curls:
4 drop sets

Dumbbell hammer curls
4 drop sets

Tomorrow morning I’ll be training early, dusting my kilt off and driving up to Bethlehem PA for the Celtic Classic. I’ll be gone all weekend so I won’t be posting anything on here but you can keep up with my poetic Twitter posts if you are a follower of mine. It figures that the one weekend I’ll be off from work and doing something fun the forecast is calling for rain the whole time but the show will go on rain or shine. It still should be a great time, the Guinness and cigars will be flowing like wine.
