Week five of this bullshit labrum injury, Iím still kind of babying my shoulder. So as embarrassing as this may sound at first, today I trained chest and triceps with a friend of mine who is a figure competitor. For those of you not familiar with this sport it is where a hot muscular chick stands on stage in a bikini and clear heels and sort of flexes but tries to make it look like thatís the way she always stands and that she is not really flexing. They bust their ass to try to build muscle and then get points taken off because they have too much muscle because of the sports mysterious judging criteria. But this girl is usually trained by my bodybuilder cousin Dave so she no stranger to training freaking hard. Every set she does she sweats blood and tries to take herself to absolute failure, I actually had to teach her told hold back, that some sets are just warm-up sets and we ramp up the intensity and weight. It actually ended up being an ok workout, light but high volume and intense.
Incline on Smith machine: I was doing a lot of light reps- 6 x 20
Dumbbell bench: lots of stretch, lots of squeeze- 5 x 20
Cable flyes (light): 4 x 15
Overhead dumbbell triceps extensions suppersetted with triceps push-ups: 4 sets till failure
Triceps pushdowns: 4 sets till failure
