Sunday and Monday


Sunday:
Power snatch: 20x2 Just to stay loose and lithe.
Front squat: I didn’t want to do any reps so I just sort of tested up to a heavy single. Well, heavy for me at this point.
50kgs x 6
70 x 5
90 x 3
100 x 3
110 x 2
120 x 1
125 x 1
130 x 1
135 x 1 (297lbs) This was about an 90% effort lift, I wanted to do it nice and controlled.
Front neck raises: 4 sets



Monday:
Once again, taking it light, trying to rehab my shoulder a little, didn’t do anything outstanding.

Low angle cable flyes: 6x12
Swiss bar benches: 6 sets
Fat bar pushdowns: 4 sets
Rolling dumbbell extensions: 4 sets
Preacher curl machine: 4 sets
Hammer curls: 4 sets
Barbell reverse curls: 4 sets

As I started this workout my brother Joe was here lifting and saw my partners all benching heavy as I was pumping away at my bodybuilding work trying to preserve my crumbling shoulder. He says to Pop Pop Bob on the sly “Boy, Steve really trains like a pussy these days.” Of course Bob, ever the instigator, runs right up to me and tells me and I fly off the handle. I know, that hardly ever happens right? I walk over to him and say, “I train like a pussy? Boy, if you ever fucking even dream of training as hard as I do I’m going to wake you up and kick your ass!” Jesus, what do I have to do to freaking prove myself to that guy? He’s only known me my whole entire life!
