Saturday and Sunday Training

SATURDAY - LEGS

REVERSE BAND YOKE BAR BOX SQUATS
* warm ups - many sets of 5 reps.
* work sets - worked up to a heavy set of 7pps for 6 reps, then stripped 3 pps for 6 more reps, took off one more plate and did some more reps (can't remember how many).

It was hot as hell in the gym so this set f**ked me up in a major way. I didn't keep ahead with my fluids and may abs and hips were starting to cramp before the last set. On days like this I would normally try to get 1 gallon of fluids in before I train and NEVER stop sipping fluids the entire session. Because I got behind this the rest of the session was hell. I knew it was going to be bad when my mouth was cramping.

LEG PRESS
* warm ups - none
* work set - one upset. This is the reverse of a strip set. We started with 6 plates for 4 reps and added one plate while continue to do 4 reps per increase. Worked up to 12 pps.

LEG EXTENSIONS
* warm ups - none
* work sets - two sets of a boat load of reps (between 20-40). I can't remember.

STIFF LEG DEADLIFTS
* after a few reps I had to pull out of the session. I was VERY close to passing out and really felt like shit.

The rest of the crew finished the stiff legs and went onto reverse hypers.

I did go back 7 hours later and did...

STIFF LEG DEADLIFTS
* warm ups - 2 sets
* work sets - 3 sets of 15

SINGLE LEG CURLS
* work sets - 3 sets 12

REVERSE HYPERS
* work sets - 4 sets of 8 reps




SUNDAY - CHEST

SLIGHT INCLINE DUMBBELL PRESS
* warm ups - sets of 8 working up.
* work sets - the last three working up set were counted as work sets. My last set was 130 for 10 reps

REVERSE BAND PRESS
* warm ups - working up using sets of 5
* work sets - worked up to 480 for 5
** The bands were set to take 185 off chest.
Used the 41" elitefts™ Premium Relentless Onyx™ Resistance Band width 3 1/4.

CHAIN PRESS
* worked up to 185 for 5 reps. Began adding on chain per side until we had 6 chain per side for 5. After this set we did a strip set pulling 2-3 chains each drop.

4" CABLE GRENADE BALL™ FLIES super set with STRETCHER PUSH UPS
* 4 rotations - failure every set

SPRING BAR PUSH UPS
* 2 sets to failure

Antione Vaillant came into town to train with John Meadows. John has a show in 2 weeks and Antione in 6 weeks. I was very impressed with his strength. The guy knocked out 25 pretty easy reps with 150 pound dumbbells on the slight incline press and was equally as strong on everything we did.
