Wednesday - Sunday
Wednesday - Arm Day - nothing major. Then I got sick later that night.
Thursday - Still being sick and now having every bone in my body in pain I decided to stay home and rest all morning because from noon on I had several commitments I had to be at. This ended up being the right decision because I felt 100% better by 11:00. The rest of the day was running to the airport, setting up for the LTT4, two meetings, putting together our new signature series full power rack with platform, 0-90, and competition bench. These items and a few others have been a year in the making and I'm very happy with how they turned out. We only have some very small changes I would like to see made.
We also asked Julia Ladewski to come out to train the group of kids we work work. Well, Matt Goodwin really trains they so I would say they are his kids. I just help with some of the programing and stop in to help from time to time. There is so much I can write about this but we have tons of videos, pictures and interviews and will let that do the talking later. For now I will say Julia is VERY good at what she does (training kids) and I was EXTREMELY impressed.
It was nice to know we were doing something right but even better to know what we could do better and how to do it better. Her programing skills are solid and on point but it was her coaching skills that blew me away. It isn't easy to work with kids 6-13 and she excels at it.
Friday and Saturday - I'm not sure where to begin with the LTT4 seminar except to just say thank you. Thank You to all those who attended. Thank you to my staff. Thank you to the sponsors who came out to help. Thank you to the coaches who came out to help. Thanks to the volunteers, Thanks to everyone who helped make this happen. Over these two days we had lectures, under the bar sessions, video interviews with coaches and sponsors (we now have a dungeon studio for this), UGSS training sessions, catered lunches, etc.
While I don't have all the expenses in yet it looks like we will be able to donate 30% more to the Make A Wish Foundation than we have from past seminars.
Sunday - This was a small UGSS session with most of the sponsors benching. With the last two days off training I was ready to train legs. Well kinda ready. As ready as I could be after two long days and little sleep.
The session was:
Leg Curls - a billion sets and reps with a strip set after all the warm up, semi warm up and work sets.
elitefts™ SS Yoke Bar Squats - warmed up to 4 work sets adding chains with each set. After the 4 work sets and at the top weight we did a strip set from hell. It was from hell because by the time we got to this three reps with each drop was extremely heavy and slow.
Hack Squats - 3 warm up sets and 4 work sets of 8 reps.
Leg Extensions - a few sets of a billion reps.
Good Mornings on Power Squat Machine - 4 sets 6-8 reps.
