Friday training and how to un-smoke your knees

I hit a rare night time training session yesterday. The trip to pick up my daughter was aborted Wednesday due to rain so we did it yesterday. The day involved me driving three hours there, moving furniture out of the second floor of some old shitty house, loading it into my truck, then bringing it all into the second floor of an even shitter house that she will be in next semester. Then loading all the junk that she was bringing home, driving three more hours and making many more trips up and down the steps once we got there. Needless to say my delicate knees were smoked from carrying things up and down and driving when I got home. I popped a Celebrex and two Aleve, grabbed some food, ate and took an hour nap.

My knees actually felt pretty loose when I woke up. My pill cocktail un-smoked my knees so I hurried to the gym to deadlift. They felt so good in fact that I didn’t even warm-up, I just walked in, loaded up a bar and started banging away. I have no time in my life to freaking foam roll and stretch, I have places to be, people to see, food to eat and cigars to smoke. It actually went really well too.
