4-28-12 graston and squats
Let me just tell you, ive been reluctant to post my log because of how shitty my session was for squats, and i was hoping to have a respectable bench day to make myself feel better about the squat day, but I didnt.
So i woke up at 630 am to drive an hour and 45 minutes up to sioux city iowa to see dr sean charter out of vital wellness chiropractic
http://www.vitalwellnesschiro.com/
the dude does phenomenal work with his graston technique. Ive been to him probably 3 times and always was fixed within a few days of getting the work done. Well my hamstring has been bothering me for about a month now, so i set up an appointment to go see him. My sub scapular area was also giving me problems, so I had him work on that as well.
The video doesnt even show how painful this really is, but if u turn the volume up real loud u can hear the tools scraping the muscles.
Is half the video, it all didnt upload for some reason.
Ill post the whole thing tonite.
The video is very long, but there is ALOT of good information in it, so skim over it at least.
So i get to the gym and start my workout, he told me to squat like i normally would, well i shouldnt have.
690x2 straps down 690x2 straps down add reverse bands 795x1 missed second, i came up and just stopped, when they took the weight off my back i had an instant pain in the same spot he had just worked on.
I shut it down, it was a pretty bad pain and im still 12 weeks out, so i wasnt going to make it worse. I tried to do some accessory, but it was just too much.
i went in the next day and did some stand ups in the power rack to work on my form abd keeping my elbows down on the squat, because i think thats what was causing me to get hurt.
