International Day of Awesome & 290 Farmers (almost)
In case you weren't aware, today was the International Day of Awesome! This special day is designed to be a celebration of all things awesome. I had to rise to the expectation.
Started with squat. Same issues with the knee. I was going to have at the briefs tonight but the knee was enough to deal with.
Did a lot of rolling and self talk that my knee wasn't going to bust wide open. The best I could work up to was 300. Lots of sets before then, each rep painful but wasn't going to back down. I ended with 300 just because anything less than that would be a total failure.
On to the exciting stuff....
Did some farmer picks. Worked up to 290!! I got it about halfway to lockout. I was fully expecting a complete lock out but this is a PR. I have broken 300 off the ground previously but not nearly as far as these babies went up. These picks will suffice in the name of awesomeness.
I had a dinner date with a cute blonde and he was waiting patiently for me. I cut it short.
Did you all do anything in honor of The International Day of Awesome?
"Because everyone needs an excuse to be awesome",
