Bench Bigger, Look Better

Squatting and making room for the new arrival.

Today I had the guys take it up to a max squat. Bob ended up squatting a super deep 525lbs. An increase of about 100lbs since he started training with me six months ago. Young Don squatted 400lbs, a 40lbs increase since he started with us six weeks ago. I hit a post knee surgery PR squat too.

Power snatch to warm up:
worked up to 85kgsx5x1

60kgsx8
100x5
120x5
140x3
160x1
180x1
195x1 (430lbs) I took this out of a power rack, walked it out, set it up and squatted it beautifully. This is the most I've done that with since my accident. The walkout and set up is still the toughest part for me. Considering I have about ten legit reasons why I should NEVER be squatting again and not one legit reason why I should be, I'm pretty happy with 430lbs. I really feel like I have another 50lbs in my squat but maybe only about 20lbs in my ablity to walk it out. I may switch back over to the monolift again.

Leg press with band tension: 3x20

GH raise with band tension: 4x10

Standing abs: 4x10

The guys helped me clear out a spot for the new EFS power rack that's coming later today. The only problem is when you add something to the weightroom you end up shifting one thing, then another and another . . . next thing you know you moved every piece of equipment in the room three times. It's the price we pay to improve the gym. Here is where it's going to be sitting, between the two 9' tall twin towers. Check in with me tomorrow and you'll see finished pics of it in place! I'm pretty excited to see it in here but not so excited to carry the beast in here and assemble it.
