Put on a little tighter of an Ace today (54) to see how much support to expect from it. I am gonna open lighter in a 56 but I was considering throwing the 54 on for a second attempt. The 785 2 board was hard to touch though. Hard enough that I am pretty sure I will only throw the 54 on at the meet if I miss or grind out an attempt with the 56 first.
I am also trying to walk a delicate line between training heavy enough to keep my strength up while not inflaming my forearms too much. I would have liked to handle over 8, but I think it could be counterproductive at this point.
The point is to be able to go over 8 at the meet, not in the gym.,
